CHAOS- Liquidity Consciousness

This project developed an interactive system that visualises people's emotional states through a dynamic textile installation. By fusing neuroscience with textile technology, the system uses brainwave data from the audience as input. It envisions human consciousness through live textile structures constructed of tubing and coloured liquid, programmed through creative technology. People can control the textiles' colour (liquid) and pattern (speed) by thinking, meditating and through other different states of consciousness.

We exist in chaos, and we disappear in turmoil.

I expect to explore and construct the boundaries between the space of consciousness and the external environment. Each tube is a separate space, and when these spaces intersect and overlap, they form the border structure between the internal and external worlds I want to express, which is a complex and fragile space.

And the fluid forms a flowing 'thread' through the tubes; it is like blood absorbing nutrients from the outside and transporting them to the inside, drawing energy from the outside, continuously building our inner world. Then we respond to the external environment in a continuous cycle ......

In addition, This interactive installation is also designed to help people relieve their mental stress and focus on themselves to fill the gap created by the lack of close personal attention and interaction in the context of a pandemic.
