Ievy Lin explores the convergence of sight and touch, investigating materiality through contrasts of visual and tactile experiences. She focuses on the rawness of materials, craftsmanship, and connectivity. She presents surprising, dream-like tactile interactions by manipulating elements like colour, weight, and finishes. She illustrates these concepts through stories like "Illusion" and another representing a dream transitioning to reality, using bold colours and abstract structures.

Tsai-Chieh explores the intersection of sight and touch, posing, "Are you certain that what you see is the same as what you touch?" Her concept involves contrasting visual and tactile experiences to elicit surprise and reveal the unexpected within materiality. She seeks to underscore the rawness of materials, highlight craftsmanship, and promote connectivity.
She delves into the concepts of time and negative space. AbouConcerning the sense of touch, she carefully considers material, colour, weight, and finishes to convey the uncertainty intrinsic to her work. Her objective is to provide viewers with an irrational juxtaposition, similar to a dream, where surprising tactile interactions and gaps in understanding are conveyed through colour, texture, and pattern.
In the first story, "Illusion," black and white elements create a surreal and strange aesthetic. It appears unexpected yet intriguing when touched, presenting an abstract experience.
The second story revolves around a dream transitioning to reality. It's compelling, with bold and slightly unusual colours. The choice of bold colours signifies a shift from the abstract and atmospheric to the real and tangible. The colours are vivid and aggressive; they cannot be ignored. They are indeed in your face, demanding your attention. The texture and structure used here are open to interpretation.

Ievy Lin
Ievy Lin is a textile designer specializing in woven textiles. She currently works with multiple materials, aiming to create tactile woven fabrics. The textures and materials of everyday objects consistently inspire her. Her work highlights the possibilities of different material combinations and the interpretations of the quality of touch.
This is a new woven series developed by Ievy Lin, exploring the sense of touch. This weaving method reimagines fabrics from a structural level to encompass the dimensions of human sensory perception. Simultaneously, a series of new fabrics are created, allowing individuals to explore the interactive relationship between vision and touch when interacting with these fabrics.
